UNA London & South East, UNA UK and Peace Child International invite you to a festival to mark the UN’s 75th anniversary, 18th – 24th October 2020.
The pandemic has made people feel insecure – not only in health, but also in food, the environment, the digital space , the economy and peace. Join them in this week-long festival, as we agree the key actions – for individuals, communities, nations and the UN – to make a more secure world.
Each evening (7-9pm London time) of the week leading up to United Nations Day, they will focus on a different aspect of security. They want to hear your voice too! Choose now the topics where you want to see change. And join them to make that future closer!
On Saturday 24th October (from 2:30pm BST) they will bring the suggestions together to create our Action Plan. World leaders will speak: the 2020 Sir Brian Urquhart Award for Distinguished Service to the UN and experts will discuss the issues facing the UN.
The Festival will end with a concert of music and drama to celebrate the UN past, present and future, followed by an intergenerational dialogue about the future of the UN.
The United Nations is challenging us all to share OUR proposals to bring about the future we want. Join the events and respond!
