In a world of dramatic changes and complex challenges, from the climate crisis to population shifts to the unknown course of technology, we need collective action more than ever before.
But support for global cooperation is flagging. In many countries, public trust in traditional institutions is in decline and relations between countries are under strain. Dialogue and action on global issues could not be more urgent.
So the UN has launched UN75, a global conversation to help the UN build a global vision for its centenary in 2045.
The UN75 is asking three big questions
- What kind of future do we want to create?
- Are we on track?
- What actions are needed to bridge the gap?
How to take part
How much time do you have?
Two minutes: Complete the UN’s short survey.
Ten minutes: Post about #UN75 on social media and mention @JoinUN75 and this website un75.uk.
An hour: Take part in our monthly video conversation at 2pm London time on the first Wednesday of every month.
Click http://talk.un75.uk/ to join the discussion.
Several hours: Take part in our online discussion. We will feed your comments back to the UN. Also see this page of ideas and links to resources to help you plan your own discussion with friends or colleagues. Register your discussion with the UN. There is a UN feedback form to report on a discussion, but it refers to a “reporting tool” which we do not know how to find.
